FRVC Annual Dues
The FRVC annual membership dues are overdue. Dues are $10.00 and should be made payable to FRVC and mailed to: FRVC DUES, P.O. Box 1102, Azusa, CA 91702-1102.
FRVC to Work at Gateway Center
The FRVC has agreed to staff and sell Adventure Passes at the San Gabriel Canyon Gateway Entrance Station, under the direction of FRVC volunteer Henry Pacheco. We have committed to working the fourth Saturday and Sunday of each month. The work hours will be from 7:30 to 4:30, with two shifts from 7:30 - 12:00 and 12:00 - 4:30. In addition we will assist with staffing and selling Adventure Passes on holiday weekends. This is a great way for the FRVC to raise some funds and earn volunteer hours. FRVC Future General Meeting Time Change
The start time for the FRVC monthly membership meetings will be changed from 9:00am to 8:00am beginning, March 13th. This time change will allow for an earlier start time for stream patrols on the second Saturday of the month.

Work Project at Ed Center - March 13th
A work project has been scheduled after the FRVC meeting to work on the Old Rangers House at the Ed Center, which is being converted to a Volunteer House.
Bald Eagle Survey - March 13th
Volunteers are needed to help the Forest Service Biologists count the bald eagles. Counts are conducted for a one-hour period around lakes in Big Bear, Arrowhead, Idyllwild and Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area on March 13th. No experience is necessary. Dress warm and bring your own binoculars. Confirm the meeting times and locations with the following contacts.

Angeles Volunteer Training - March 20th
Training for all new Angeles Forest volunteers will be at the San Gabriel Canyon Ed Center on March 20th from 8:00 to 3:30.
Angeles Volunteer Refresher Training - March 20th
A refresher and safety training for all current Angeles Forest volunteers will be held at the San Gabriel Canyon Educational Center on March 20th from 8:30 to 11:30. This is a mandatory training for all current FRVC volunteers who have and / or will work in the Angeles Forest. This training will include the renewal of volunteer agreements, communications, logistics, public contacts, program updates, trainings, upcoming events and projects. Please bring a current copy of your Drivers License, Vehicle Registration and Proof of Insurance that can be kept on file at the District Office. Angeles Volunteer Recognition - March 20th
Volunteer recognition and potluck lunch will be held on March 20th at the San Gabriel Canyon Educational Center at 11:30. Please bring an item for the lunch, from the following list, based on the last digit of your home phone number.

The FRVC May monthly meeting will be held at the Lytle Creek Visitor Center on May 8th at 8:00am.
Crystal Lake Campout - May 22nd & 23rd
A campout is planned for all Angeles Forest volunteers on May 22nd and May 23rd at the Crystal Lake Campground. More details regarding this event will be forthcoming. The mandatory refresher and safety training will be presented for those who were not able to attend the training on March 20th. All FRVC volunteers are invited to participate in this event.
San Gabriel Canyon Cleanup - June 12th
The annual San Gabriel Canyon “Super Sweep” Cleanup is scheduled for Saturday June 12th at 8:00am, followed by a barbecue lunch at 12:00. We will meet at 8:00am at the FRVC shed Ed Center to sign in and then proceed to the OHV parking lot for our assignment. All FRVC volunteers are invited to participate in this event.
Fundraiser at Bass Pro Shop - June 12th - 13th & June 19th - 20th
The FRVC will be cooking and selling brats and hotdogs at the Bass Pro Shop on the second and third weekends of June, which are June 12th and 13th and June 19th and 20th. This will be our primary fundraiser for the year and will require 8 workers each day. Please contact Bob Kreider to schedule work hours at this important event.
